Lundén Architecture Company selected as partners of the Kupittaa Partnership Project
The City of Turku has selected Terävin kärki as project partners for the Kupittaa Partnership Project. The urban development proposal was made by Lundén Architecture Company in collaboration with YIT, COBE, Arkkitehdit von Boehm – Renell, AFRY and WSP. The proposal aims to transform the current area into the heart of the future Kupittaa district and create an active centre for innovation. Bringing together diverse learning spaces, new types of workspaces and housing, a new centre is formed around the urban Taito campus, an open learning space and resource for the entire community. The new district will also act as a hub for smart mobility and create a framework for a sustainable and future-oriented city.
The development phase will start at the beginning of 2023. The contract for the implementation phase is expected to be signed in autumn 2024 and the project completed in phases during 2026-2027.
